I'm pretty sure its an OEM 80 series sub tank from an Australia spec 80 Chas.
All 80's down here got a 60 litre sub tank with the gauge being up above the rear view mirror.

Think it was 45litres Ben (well it was on my GXL) which was good for about 250km the way the 4500i goes through fuel

That makes sense Ben as I managed to get in about 60ltr extra when I filled up. I don't have a separate gauge though, it just acts as a header tank, so when the dash gauge starts going down I know I'm then onto main tank, saves all that faffing about with change over switches or transfer pumps, seemples!

Well it was Lazz that raised the comment Chas, but going from 90l to 150l is an advantage anyway, even if some LRTs are bigger.
I don't normally do a high mileage so I've not been tempted to add an auxiliary tank... yet. I don't use the spare wheel space, so I have some options. I'm thinking more of filling that space with an air receiver, I'd get more use out of that.
Good to hear you have the tank fitted anyway, you've had that ages by all accounts.

It's not the tank I've had for ages, that one won't fit because of my rear bumper, another member has that under offer at the moment.
This is one I bought from another member.
No prob Chas, anyway, more fuel capacity is better than less, whichever way you look at it, until it's time to pay, that is

Managed to get an hour free to do some more on the drawers in the 80, just need some carpet and make some stoppers so they don't come completely out. Happy with them so far. Need to make a mount for the hi lift too.
Got the wheels swapped back over on the beemer, winters off and the much nicer normal wheels back on, just a shame it's back to run flat tyres. As I'm a tight Yorkshire man have to swap the tyre valves between to 2 sets of wheels (has pressure monitors in them) I'd live with the tyre warning on all winter but the wife wasn't keen!!

I've just worked out what extra range the 60ltr LRT will give me, about an extra 240 miles, should be a total of around 560/570 miles

Fitted new bonnet gas struts today, courtesy of our young Mr Chas who very kindly did a round trip to China to collect them for me!
A few days in the post from the UK to Romania, and they were fitted in about 10 minutes flat.
Thanks again Chas, you're a gent, the cheque is bouncing its way west as we speak!
How nice it is to flick the catch and have the bonnet raise by itself. It's been a long time since it did that

BTW, the old rams still had some life in them, so I fitted one of them to replace my ARB rear swing out wheel carrier ram, that's been doing nothing useful for the past year.
That's great too now, flick the catch and the spare swings out to 90 degrees, even when it's an uphill climb!

Today I took off my two HID spots (one wasn't working anyway) and fitted a 20" LED light bar, looks much neater than the spots did and the light is terrific I'm too cream crackered to go out now and try them out in the dark, tomorrow night . . . maybe.

Déjà vu Chas, I'm about to do the same, with a 23" Cree replacing the two IPF spots (that have rusted like buggery) on the winch bar....
There will be another light bar going under the roof rack front and rear, when they arrive...

There is no way to adjust the angle of the unit as I have bolted it direct to the bumper but luckily it places the light just where it's needed.

Fitted the new driver's door window rubber I've had sat around for a few weeks and now the window works as it should. Tried fitting it without removing the int door panel but it was impossible, the door jamb side just wouldn't push down more than 3/4 of the way so off came the panel.
I'm starting to like these LED light bars. I have 2 HID bumper mounted spots which are working fine but the light bars look very neat and compact.

Looking good there Chas, a nice bit of filler light mid-distance. I'm hoping to have one where yours is and another under the wind deflector of the ARB roof rack. There's another one coming as a work light for the rear, to be mounted under the rack.

Flushed out and replaced my minging power steering fluid.
Normally pretty good with maintenance but this was well overdue
Decided against the FSM start the engine and try to keep up as the reservoir empties quicker than you can fill it procedure.
Used a 10mm barb/clear hose fitted to the return line and some of that solid mastic that ends up in the tube end shoved in the reservoir tube. Bit redneck but works.
Then top up the reservoir after each turn lock to lock. Takes a bit longer but nice and relaxed.
Silky smooth steering now.
