Could have been a lot worse, not nice to see a truck on its side, good news that it and you are ok RR

Nothing dents more easily than confidence, so on with the show is the best way forward!

Watch it you two or I'll have to get my arrows out!

Nothing really to add but with all the talk about the Morocco trip I thought Romania should be brought into the light.

I've been thinking the same Chas , I'm promised a list of places we absolutely must include in this trip from a 29 year Romanian bloke who works with Helen , the same guy who was originally confused over how it could possibly take anyone two whole days to get there .

I'm thinking 2 days will be optimistic, but I'm interested where he recommends you visit Shayne...

Yeah but he was probably thinking about his own sprints home , now he understands it's more of a tour it sounds like he is keen to promote the beauty of his country . He's talking to Helen not me so I can only wait and see . It's an odd one for me really I do occasionally do a web search for places of interest but always end up thinking each and every mile will bring something new so I don't really need a map of places to see .

Agreed Shayne, but some local tips may save you from missing places you'd normally drive past on the main road. Local knowledge is essential here, as there's no POI signposts to speak of.

So, Clive pointed me to this thread somewhat late. I just found out that I am moving to Germany for work sometime in the next month or so. I will be living on A3 just past Nurnberg. I imagine I will be too busy settling in to go, but wouldn't be upset to meet other Landcruiser owners, even for a few minutes if you want to make a refueling stop or an overnight near me.

Drew

Good way to alert the locals to your interest in 4x4 Drew  , I would be up for it but so far my plan consists of heading in the general direction of Romania then asking someone where Clive lives , I'm very pedantic in these sort of things :icon-smile: Ratrace seems to know where he's going so i guess only he can answer your question .

These are the names I've been given by the Romanian , a quick random search of a few has me thinking that he has passed the job on to his wife and so I've ended up with Tourist Board info rather than local knowledge but regardless it truly is a beautiful country and every name given is worth a look even if only out out idle curiosity .
