+ £1 if you want to donate to the Gruniad. And only £490M to redesign them.
I'm guessing that's to replace them Rob, not just the redesign, and seeing as they now need renewing every 10 years and are only being changed at renewal, surely this is just the ongoing cost of issuing passports, and even then we have to pay £72.50 for the renewal, so The Guardian looks to be slightly misleading with that figure. I could have redesigned it for £20 for them as it's hardly a major revamp is it?And only £490M to redesign them.

I do rather think dear ol' Guy may have missed the point somewhat…! It wasn't the colour of the passports we were voting on!So we could have kept the blue passports.
Guy Verhofstadt, the European Parliament's chief Brexit negotiator and a leading European federalist tweeted: 'There is no EU legislation dictating passport colour. The UK could have had any passport colour it wanted and stay in the EU.'
I think the choice of colour was well before the Brexit vote.I do rather think dear ol' Guy may have missed the point somewhat…! It wasn't the colour of the passports we were voting on!
