Body mount part numbers and rear access to body mounts

Thanks Dervis - saw the Febest write-up too. My back is pretty full though so I'm gauging where the body mounts will come up in the back as I may only need to pull the drawers withoutout removing the mounting frame etc.

Body mount part numbers and rear access to body mounts

Actually, I believe these are the parts. Posting for others to use. So if anyone has advice on the rear most body mounts, that would be great.

Body mount part numbers and rear access to body mounts

Hi everyone, I noticed a few people have replaced their body mounts from time to time and I wanted to ask if anyone has the part numbers for the rubber/washer/bolts? Also, I wanted to ask on the rearmost body mounts, I have a drawer system fitted - does this all have to come out to change the...

10A gauge fuse blows in reverse only

Hope everyone is safe and well. Looking for some pointers. My 10A Gauge fuse will only blow in reverse and typically not when I move the automatic transmission lever from park to reverse - more when i actually begin reversing. It does not blow in normal drive conditions, only reverse. I tried...

Can gauge fuse stop the truck starting?

Towpack, that was a revelation, confirmed by looking at the starting wiring diagram. Thank you! Now I just need to work out why, occasionally the indicator or the power windows blow the gauge fuse. And buy some 10A fuses in the meantime!

Can gauge fuse stop the truck starting?

Interesting issue today. I was stuffing about with the driver's window while leaving the house. I know in operation, according to the manual, it can suck up to 14 amps. Went down town and parked up and couldn't start the truck. Could hear the solenoids clicking in on ignition and the starter...

Ambient temperature sensor - what and where?

Guys - so helpful as usual! Nick, your bullbar dips in an interesting way to expose that sensor - helpful though. Mine goes straight across. I think I now have a "freed" air temperature sensor.

Ambient temperature sensor - what and where?

Just had my air con condensor replaced in Oz and have excellent aircon again. However, when i got the truck back i noticed this sitting on the bullbar. The guy who didn't said he'd never seen one on an 80. I looked up the part number and it is temperature sensor Toyota Land Cruiser HDJ 80...

What is the hose at the back of the washer tank?

Reconnecting Clive - I got it out ok but I'm trying to put the hard washer tank back in and getting the hand in to reconnect that hose is proving difficult as the clip keeps knocking it off and it is difficult to sit flush again.

What is the hose at the back of the washer tank?

I can see my target in this thread https://www.landcruiserclub.net/community/threads/removing-the-front-wings-on-a-land-cruiser-80-series.145412/ but I'm a bit nervous about the "fiddly" and "rusty" descriptions as I am not looking to create extra work - already had a bolt snap on the innocuous...

What is the hose at the back of the washer tank?

Not sure as the front has the rear motor, the front motor and the lights motor [I think] plus tubes running off. Therefore the back one [which is much larger] is a mystery.

What is the hose at the back of the washer tank?

Hi all, after watching a teenager take out her washer tank I thought it was child's play...until I got in and realised that the auxiliary battery plus wire to the changeover relay combined together to make a simple job pretty tough - not much room. I got the pesky tank out but I'm not struggling...

Exactly Chadr - my Aussie experience is that you need them but may never show them. https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-international-driving-permit-idp . Moggy, sorry but I'm still not getting why the EU is to blame for the UK's decision to leave resulting in IDPs back in...

    The people have spoken

I agree there's no need for it unless the current Government drives us off the cliff with a no deal. Still, I don't get why you are blaming Europe  The UK government introduced this legislation to REQUIRE IDPs in March last year [see point 23] [read it all here -...

    The people have spoken

Not sure why it's the EU's fault Moggy? The UK is leaving the EU rather than the reverse - and in a no deal, becoming a "third country". As a non-EU country, Aussies technically need an IDP for some European countries e.g. France https://www.aaa.asn.au/international-motoring/driving-overseas/ ...

Any recommendations for a land cruiser transporter?

Thanks for the replies - I'm just getting the exact post codes so I can pass on via DM for an accurate figure. EDIT - PMs sent. Thanks Flint, I'd read that horror story of the truck but the Agriculture link looks new to me - although it confirms earlier agriculture things I'd read. We are...

Any recommendations for a land cruiser transporter?

I may not need it but I'm keen to avoid salt before putting the truck into the container to Oz later this month. So if the prices aren't silly I am looking for a recommendation for a transporter company [tilt tray may be ok or I may be too heavy, not sure] with the right size vehicle to take my...

24/12V voltage converter relay failure - consequences?

Mine failed - first noticed this by seeing 19V being applied on one side of the gauge fuse (driver's side fuse panel) leading it to burn out a few times. The guy looking at the truck suggests the 24V has burnt out 4-6 separate circuits as he's seeing earths on the A/C circuit and the aftermarket...

How do I ship a vehicle from Bulgaria to Canada?

I agree with Moggy. German/Dutch or UK ports will have the better deals and people on the forum will know contacts. That said try someone like https://www.msc.com/bgr/about-us for a quote at least and then we can help with Northern Europe comparative prices. Container is better than RORO for sure.

Question for our Aussie colleagues - on Toyota 78s

If you ship your own vehicle and stay less than 12 months, plus ship it out, you will be on a carnet so won't need to go through the local registration cost and process. Best engine monitoring system for landcruiser
