I will be having a bit of a clear-out in the next month or two, and will update this thread as I have more things to off-load.

1. [strike:3r5s00oo]80 series standard tow-bar, with tow-ball. (Removed to fit receiver bar). Tow-bar is in pretty good nick - maybe a bit of flash rust on the surface but not distorted or bent. Might be a nice starting point for anyone wanting to make their own receiver bar.[/strike:3r5s00oo] Scrapped, now it's way to be turned into 473 well-built Chinese cars :violin:

2. [strike:3r5s00oo]80 series standard OEM rear springs.[/strike:3r5s00oo] Gone to Mr Lomas

3. [strike:3r5s00oo]A NATO hitch (think it may be a Dixon Bate, if that's relevant?) - used, although not by me as I've not got round to fitting it. I can check the details tonight and take pics, if required. I think I paid £50ish quid for it - offers around £40?[/strike:3r5s00oo] Gone to Chris

4. [strike:3r5s00oo]CB rig - Midland unit (98 Plus model), plus gutter mount with cabling plus a "Modulator" antenna. (Apparently a genuine Modulator if that means anything?) Plus a springer antenna - no idea on model/brand. CB is powered off cigarette lighter plug. Also included is a a mounting bracket for CB unit.
Gutter mount has a bit of surface rust in places and I think a plastic washer may be cracked, so not perfect although works perfectly. Can take pics of any items if requested. I'm looking for offers around £40 for the lot.[/strike:3r5s00oo] Sold to Revs

5. [strike:3r5s00oo]A/C compressor for a 12V - I sourced then looking for a replacement for my compressor. Only to learn that the 12V and 24V compressors are different and won't fit without a lot of fettling. So this compressor is for a 12V. Important disclaimer - as far as I know, this compressor works (and I had an A/C specialist give it a once-over and confirm that it looked fine) but I cannot guarantee that it works perfectly. So buyer beware!Price for this item is a lowly £50, reflecting the lack of provenance.[/strike:3r5s00oo] Gone to Karl

6. [strike:3r5s00oo]I have 2 non-working A/C compressors for a 24V this time. I don't know what wrong with them other than they don't work :) If someone wants to have a crack at tearing them down to find the faults and maybe making a good one out of two, please feel free! These 2 compressors are gratis.[/strike:3r5s00oo] Also gone to Karl

Buyer/recipient to arrange collection!

Cheers,

{Thread edited to include more items}

Re: 80 series bits & pieces

Hi Andrew, could I claim the springs please.

Thanks Andy

Re: 80 series bits & pieces, towing & radio too

Andrew, interested in the NATO hitch (I presume you mean a big clamp thing sometimes called a pintle that is used on a Sankey trailer ring?)

Re: 80 series bits & pieces, towing & radio too

Indeed, Chris - same thing AFAIK. My plan was to use it as a recovery point on my standard tow-bar. But when i got the receiver bar that went out the window, along with the tow-bar mentioned earlier in the thread.

Cheers,

Right, I'll have that then. Be good if we can find a way of forum couriering it. Be heavy to post. No idea what I will do with it by the way.

Re: 80 series bits & pieces, towing & radio too

Might be interested in the CB radio depending on which model it is?

Maybe do the same as with the springs for Andy - hand-over at Lincomb unless there is someone venturing north from here before then?

That's very kind of you! I am happy to drop them off in Woking (if Et is ok with that) or meet you somewhere convenient between Woking and London assuming you're going near the M25. When do you expect to be down this way?

Re: 80 series bits & pieces, towing & radio too

 Good little CB that, I've had one in my 80 for a number of years.

Re: 80 series bits & pieces, towing & radio too

Would you be interested in splitting the CB stuff? Only interested in the radio really.

Re: 80 series bits & pieces, towing & radio too

Sure, I packaged it all together cos I thought it might have more appeal. ;) PM me an offer.
