80series Milners rear light clusters

Hi,
Has anyone here ever bought one of the Milners rear light clusters?
How do they compare to the factory ones?
Dear old wifey has reversed into something smashing the near side light
cluster (she has already done the off side one!) and it is bad enough
to be beyond my skills with the superglue!

I should imagine the price for a newer 100 series will be MUCH more if and
when you upgrade...!

Julian,
I bought one from Milner when I first got my 80, the cluster was
one thing that was wrong with it. It was OK but for the connector plug
which was of a different type, I put this down to mine being an
import. Go ahead and buy one.
Regards, Clive.

Yes, I suspect that they will be more expensive, Milners actually do very little for 100s.
I'll be fitting reversing sensors and very sturdy rear bumper to avoid this happening again!
Cheers,
Julian

I've had a few and they seem fine, they break as easily as the OEM ones
;-) They come with bulbs and wiring but I always pull the bulb holders
and shove the old ones in, i.e. I don't disconnect any wires. Maybe
that's why I haven't noticed different connections like Clive. Their
head lights & front side lights seem ok as well.
Jon.

Hi Chas,
I wouldn't mind so much if I had done it, but whilst my wife is one of the
better drivers for her gender the one thing she is no good at is refersing -
she can park fine, reverse 1/4mile down a lane to let a car pass, etc
without problems but has managed to scrape both rear corners of her car as
well as both rear corners of my car on walls, trees and today a chain!
Yes, about ?27 from memory!

Hi Julian
Geese be carefull , you could start a discussion about driving.
At least your wife is good at driving most of the time.
I think its all to do with spacial awarness.
I know I meet a lot of people all the time especially on narrow roads that
over compensate for their inability to know where there vehicle actually is
compared to where they think it is and in the process block you from moving,
when there is enough room for both vehicles to pass.
It even gets translated to supermarkets and pushing trollies.
