OK I've got the dreaded ABS & VSC lights staying on.
They have flashed on when the car was cold occasionally - but used to go off once ignition turned off then back on.
Now they stay on all the time.

I've bridged the connectors E1 & Tc and the ABS light flashes 4 6 5 9 and then repeats.
The VSC light flashes 4 3 4 7 5 3 then repeats.
According toradio display all test passed!

Can anyone interpret these flashes please?

cheers
Chris

I've tried A code reader & no codes stored!

Anyone any ideas as my MOT is due in a few weeks :(

cheers
Chris

Am I right in thinking the brakes are a pressurised system with a pump providing the pressure - rather than a vacuum assisted system?

Yes, there's an electric pump under the brake master cylinder and a pressure canister between the master cylinder and the O/S inner wing.

If the pump fails (or you run out of pressure when e.g. bleeding the brakes) you will get the ABS warning light, A red brake failure light and a warning buzzer. You will also have very little in the way of brakes .

It doesn't sound as though the brake pressure pump is you problem.

Bob.

No - the pump is running correctly.
I'm trying to find how to convert the flashing abs & VSC lights into fault codes - anyone know?

OK I've managed to get the codes read properly and get 2:

C1223 fault in ABS control system
C1246 fault in master cylinder sensor

Anyone help please?
