Bing be gone

Would anyone happen to know how to permanently delete bing search engine off my pc, I've recently upgraded to windows 7 and whenever I do a google search it automatically diverts to bing, I've uninstalled it via the control panel and restarted the laptop but the damned 5hitty thing has not gone IMHO it's crap and I much prefer Google any day ! It maybe obvious to the majority of you how to do this, but for someone who's still getting used to telephones and calculators, it's not so simple, so keep the explanations simple please

IIRC check your browser settings, it should be set-able there

You could install Chrome of Firefox but if you wanted to keep IE then see above. Also has some other tips.

Crispin beat me to it...Sack off IE and get firefox, Its Faster, More Reliable and you can have Landcruiser personas (Themes) Check these

Thanks for your help guys, it was simple in the end, all I had to do was was click into manage add-ons from the tool bar, highlight bing, then disable it, Ta daaaaa, Simples.........

Not so firkin simples, the bing b0ll0cks came back Anyhow I took your advice and sacked it off for chrome, so we'll see how I get on
