Box section cills

Just wondering if anyone has cut out the 80 cills and replaced with box section. Mine are not rotten but beat up beyond repair. Giving the gold 80 a bit of love and tlc. Think Roger on here did it. Just wondering how hard a job it would be.

It's not rocket science but lots of fab time I expect. Been thinking of it for mine but not got there yet.

Is it a big or difficult job. I know it's a cruiser but basics must be the zame

My mate does to a disco alot and says it's easy

It is done alot to Patrols over here aswell, and indeed, it is supposed to be really easy.
Cut out sill, weld in box section and finish it off as you like.
I've been thinking of repairing my sills this way aswell.
It's easy, and is very strong, almost like built-in rocksliders.
