Last year we had fibre in to premises. Mbs went from 0.4 to 50. Great. But now we have been forced to use digital phone supply coming down the fibre. The main phone has to plug in to the router. Our copper is now redundant that includes all the wiring I've put in the house and a 60M hung wire to the garage to give me a phone up there. To compensate fo this BT have sent us digital voice adapters. These plug in to a 13 amp socket and then your extension phones plugs in to these. They communicate with the router. Unfortunately they only have a short range, 7 metres or so, so half the extensions don't work. Garage is off line completely. My garage is back in the stone age! What a joke. These digital voice adapters are unreliable. Some phones have a dialling tone when others have an engaged tone.

Sounds like a refund is due Frank from bt but if not doable try squeezing rocks and stones
