Sorry for the delays in getting pics on but Saturday eve was a dinner out in a posh restaurant and Sunday I was competing in
an archery competition and I came away with a Silver medal .
It's a shame the Oaks had to be cut in the first place, particularly if they're only going to firewood. Oak used to be at a premium price especially large diameter trunks.
Bl00dy heavy I know that much! Thanks for the photos Chas (like the hat!).
Rest of the pics I took here, sadly due to commitments I couldn't help out more. Got back with chains and my big saw at 4.30. still cutting at 4.55pm, at 5.25 I was showered, shaved, and in a taxi in my Tux !!!!
These were some proper bits of Oak, such a shame they hadn't been craned out whole but it was a challenging site (and if they had, our very own Pugwash wouldn't have got them!!!)
Great to meet the lads, I have to say that I didn't think my first LC club meet would be 4 doors away from my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
