Chris's Funeral

Hi Clair, firstly my condolences, sad loss indeed. Unfortunately I cannot make the funeral as I am away that week.

I'd like very much to see that convoy what better salute could there be but it seems unlikely i will make it . Bravo to you Claire for making it a celebration of what we had and thank you for the open invite .

Thanks guys, Trying to find pictures of him with his cruiser, he was shy in having them taken! Anyone got a good one?

Claire

Thank you for the invite Claire. I hope you and the family are as well as can be under the circumstances.

Regretfully, Ginta and I will not be able to join you for the Celebration of Life as we are committed to supporting an event for the whole of that week.

I’m going to get there with the FJ.

I have a few from the early days, mostly Chris in his truck doing what he loved, not posing for the camera :astonished: Hopefully someone got a more recent picture?

03/10/2009 at Lincomb, he still has little blue. I think Michael might have come with him?
He came laning with me and Ray a few times in little blue but I don't have pics unfortunately

OMG! I can't believe that I've stumbled over this so sad news. That'll teach me to spend so long away from you guys! Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it to the funeral as Friday 24th is my eldest son's prom night following his GCSE's (Robert). Both my boys Robert and Daniel are going to be gutted when I tell them that he is no longer with us. Robert first met Chris when he was only four years old and he's now almost 16! Both the boys affectionately called him Bat Man Chris as a way of identifying him from other members with the same name due to him wearing a top with the Bat Man symbol on it one weekend we spent in a muddy field at Lincomb. They bought me the same top for my next Birthday that I shall now always wear with a memory of Chris. A great man, a mountain of a man and one of the greatest very few remaining British driveway and garden shed engineers and innovators. You'll be missed, but never forgotten m8 :0)
