Clamps

I have one C clamp that has done everything from pushing brake pistons in to bearings to what it's designed for by holding two bits together.

It's been great but one is not enough and having to use two hands can be a right pain in the ass so can anyone recommend a reliable pair of one handed quick release 6" or bigger clamps.

I know the old stuff is best but there must be good brand out there that people use.

We not talking sash clamp in size.

I can recommend just the thing!

These are awesome!

I've had 2 of these for about 8 years now and there great!

They have a ridiculous amount of clamping pressure and can be used as a spreader which can be very useful!

How do you find them Chas?

I bought some cheaper ones like that and they literally fell apart.

For 7 of the 8 years I've had my Irwin ones I was working on building sites every week and used them a lot! Not to mention dropping them off scaffold etc.

They've been great for all sorts of jobs, I've got three different sizes, one that has a very long slidy bar, like a sash clamp, that I've used for compressing springs, not suspension but the springs from air rifles, I've got no idea what make they are but they weren't expensive, bought in a shop, pre eBay days which tells you just how old they are and still working fine.

I've recently tried these as the ones like Ben's were getting a bit stiff... I quite like them
