now sorting out repair jobs on the LC after the Alps trip.

drivers side CV joint was clicking underload on hairpins. Discovered this morning the wheel was pretty loose at least 1mm of play, so wheel bearing need replacing, i already have a spare and seals.
my question could the CV clicking simply be due to the loose wheel bearing?
or is it likely the CV is fubar too?

going to remove the steering knuckle and take down to garage to press the hub and bearing out and fit the new one.

the wheel bearing shouldnt make any difference to the CV joint realy unless it was really fubared

Taken offside suspenion arm and CV joint out and dismantled the joint.
had go out to autoparts in Inverurie to get a 35mm socket, after asking my neighbours if they had one ;)

managed to use puller to separate hub from the arm, but will take to garage to press bearing out and fit new one and the hub. Already got a koyo bearing and seals from milners last year, need to order the outer CV joint and a spare.
