Fleecing - yeah! they all do this - lining/insulating their pockets
with the fruits of OUR labours whilst kicking us in the teeth....they
have loads of fleeces [furs] and all that plush stuff you get in
cruisers with leather seats (useless in the desert - ones bum sticks to
them like glue...) which are then made 'prestige' biju des res....
Gadgets? Who needs them!!

Hi guys,
One day, when I have nothing more important to do, I will make a list
of all the gadgets that claim to improve fuel economy by x%, add up
the figures and see if I can get a 100 or more. That will be a
mathematical proof that a motor car can be run without any fuel at
all, just by the gadgets.
Who knows, maybe mankind have been fleeced for over a century by a
cartel of motor manufactures and oil producers?

Everyone fleeces!
Just decide how much your conscience allows and where in the
Poor -> Rich scale you fit. You can always sell your Cruisers and buy a
bunch of food for some third world country. Personally I'm towards the
poor end through being risk averse but still selfish with what I have.
Anyone on here with a Cruiser and Internet access doesn't have too much
to complain about.
Gadgets - something to play with aren't they?
;-)

When I'm not here in the good old blighty I'm in Africa - I enjoy the experience but return a changed person every time - poverty and selling oneself to the nearest bidder is rife, as is starvation, people smuggling, sexual favours, all kinds of things - not good at all.
Personal experience in Africa ensures I'm thankful for small mercies but =A32000 for a front axle in the UK takes the biscuit - I hear what you say and I agree, but garages in the west are renowned for charging a fortune for even the smallest job.
In Africa I could have my entire engine overhauled for a mere 20 dinar (North Africa) (roughly, =A320 as was).
In South Africa only a few rands get you lots of work done - I'd rather pay them then garages in the UK - and rather take aid over there with me to where it is needed then spend it on garages!.
Okay, I'm Selfish about my cruiser, as we all are.
But I still don't know why my tank is still perceived as a 'prestige item' as its falling to bits (engine isn't, mind), the other bits are, and old (well, its a J reg)
