head light dimmer

When i use the head light adjustment switch all it does is turn off the headlights unless its in postion 4?

anybody had this before. I have tried another switch but was the same.

just gets on my nerves when sometime you have no head lights.

AFAIK the switch only operates the adjustment motor, I would have a look at the wiring around the lights themselves to start with.

I bet they share an earth point. The two circuits should be unrelated other than at that point. IFAIK it's on the inner wing. And likely to get corroded.
