help snap ring

hi all I am just putting my hubs back together. but the snap ring was broken. I have tried to get another one but no luck.i need it back on the road for tomorrow. will it be OK with out the snap ring?

Well it wouldn't worry me unduly. If we are talking about the one on the end of the CV outside the drive flange. Even if it was the internal one on the end of the half shaft it's not the end of the world. I think the snap ring really just limits end float and wandering of the CV. It doesn't take real load - or they'd wear out.
