As you say, the proof is in the fact that one truck succeeds where another fails, so every little bit of purchase counts. As an aside, an MOT tester once failed a Rover SD1 Vitessse I had which was lowered and did not have the top of the spring attached to the chassis. He didn't like it when he jacked the rear body up and the axle stayed put until it hung of the shocks
