Lincomb May 3,4,5, 2013, weekend.

I'm on M11, still have 42 miles. To go. Should be home about 21:00Hrs, didn't leave Lincomb till 17:30Hrs. Roads have all been surprisingly good so far. Love the photos and looking forward to getting home for cold one though, what a steamer of a day :icon-biggrin:

Had a good day up on Saturday, thanks to all who make these weekends possible. Was good to catch up witn old and new friends. Hopefully next one I'll be able to stay a night.

What did the second trial involve?? A few people have said it was a good one!?!

looks like a good time was had by all, hope fully i'll be able to make ti next time.

And a few other very tight turns which made it pretty interesting especially at the bottom of the hill at the far end of the woods, should of had a few people filming out there.

A big thank you to Tony and team for organising the weekend, and also to Dave and the scouts for the food. It was a great weekend - it was good to catch up with old and new friends.

in terms of feedback: the two trials were great, with a good and well thought out route and I think the scoring method worked well. The punches, were maybe a little too challenging, especially without a spotter. But, hey, it was all good fun. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well done and many thanks.

Roll on the next one.

Tony,

I think punch 10 was on the main track that leads up by the small camp site in the woods. It was next to the fence post some 50/60 metres short of the campsite on the right hand side going up.

cheers
Hi guys,
thanks for your kind comments, but the thanks has to go to Toby Louise, Ian Nic, Stacey Toni, Lorin and Amy, who do so much more than me!

Now, the lost punches! Nos 10,20,21, found by our champions so I know they are there somewhere! Must be the ones Ian hid!

Another big fire last night and some great chat and social. Warmer today.

Cheers

That does look good. Where abouts in the woods was that, looks different??

Yep - one in tree trunk, one at base of old post, then into camp site and down to the right on the little side-slope - 2 down there... One about 40m down on right. Never found the other one, but I've been told by those that did....

The other one Gary is referring to is low down on the left as you are coming down from the camp site. It is past the more obvious one on the side slope.

I'm not taking any blame from you Tony . You saw me put every punch in place except the one in hollow under the rock near the top of my hill.

Ian

I know Ian, I admit, must have been distracted on that one!

Thouroughly enjoyed the whole weekend as did the wife and son. Dogs want one of them Quadcopters as a chew toy!
Really liked the trials but missed the games a little (understood low numbers make them difficult - perhaps 1 game each day as not to rush anyone?).
Best bits gotta be playing sillybuggers with Rob and Jim taking on all Lincomb had to offer and giving the winches some work. Always a pleasure playing amongst cruisers. Owners are always top folk too.

Really chuffed with 2nd too! Could've been different if the wife didn't spot one on the way to hand the card in!

Thanks to all for all the hard work and to the scouts for the grub and wash too!

No stunning photography here I am afraid but some nice pictures of some lovely Cruisers

And to finish off a few pictures of the clean-up operation that went on today so that I can get GAL into a garage to have the 3 year old clutch changed (grrrrrrrrr 500 miles out of warranty)

Interesting thought. Took her to the local weighbridge before I started 2400kg. went back when I had finished 2000kg.

Well after a weekend like this one this seemed the best place to start the cleaning

Then on to the dirty stuff
Thought I had done a good job on the wheels before the AA man turned up.......Apparently not

Actually thats mine and its green! ;)

Wow nearly half a ton of mud!? Would it be worth drilling some holes in those skid plates as they seem to scoop it up and keep it in there? Might make them easier to clean?

Oops. fixed it now
I have considered it but Lincomb seem to be the only place I go that it gets that bad
