Lincomb May 3,4,5, 2013, weekend.

Well what can I say - what an awesome weekend...! A HUGE thank you to the organisers, marshalls, Scouts and everyone else for making it the perfect weekend away in Lincomb with brilliant weather. .! Hopefully next time I will be able to bring Snow White with if she ever makes it out of the body shop . The highlight for me was Chris taking me for a ride in Silver Phoenix, I had a huge smile on my face for the rest of the weekend after seeing what an 80 is capable of - thank you.

Well I had an absolute blast. Only just recovering really. Everyone thinks I have been away - looking pretty tanned! It was good weather. Liver now in rehab somewhere.

Great that very little damage was suffered across the vehicles although we did give it a go. Many thanks to Marius for the loan of his good lady wife. I gave Caron the opportunity to jump out an several moment, only to get the reply - 'Go for it' I can see this becoming a bumper sticker. Far too may tales and experiences to share and some great organisation too. I liked the new driving related changes.

One of the highlights for me was Monday hen I went back into the woods with Spindrift in the jump seat. We went for a look at the rock steps which are now in a very poor state and looking pretty unassailable. I put the front wheels against them just to show SD what it was like trying to get up them and before you know it, we were up! Never even touched the bottom of the truck. Damn I love these 80's.

See you all later in the year when we can do it all again.

AFAIK I am the only one that got through there on ATs (very worn) after someone tore the bog up with 37" swampers... I was at at the rev limiter in low 3rd fully locked most of the way through it

That was impressive rob but to be honest you could've probably dipped the clutch 1/2 way and the momentum would've seen you through! Amazingly good fun!!!

Yeah well one of the chris' had done some new stuff to a winch and just wanted to make sure everything was ok before we tried anything really hard. Promise, honest, nothing to see here. Please move on...............
Ok ok ok I got stuck........alot. no excuses here just wanted to give as much a go as I could. Lincomb is such a great environment to try out your truck to its limits due to all the friendly people around to help out. Big thanks to Big Chris for coming to the rescue again and again. I think I definitely earned that sticker. I will sign it next time if you would like. Lol

Be careful - dont do what Marius did. He over used the pressure washer to clean the radiator, afterwards finding all these metal bits on the floor said what are all these metal bits - ahh that was your radiator fins..!
