I can put UK-Morocco sign on my truck as well I agree we have to forget having a map of Morocco on the decal. I had problems on Syrian border for having the word "Izrael" on my truck and even got scratched in Damascus by someone while parked infront of the hotel. I would like to avoid such an experience again (not the scratch)

would I be right in thinking that when we decide on a logo people might also be interested in T-shirts or similar???

Heres one I prepared earlier

I have a retail outlet on spreadshirt already so designing up products is easy and the shop side is functional, a simple T-shirt like that would be £16 basic cost, more prints mean it goes up.

They do a range of different products tshirts, sweatshirts, hoodies mouse mat etc etc once we agree a design I can set them up on the site a you buy away

oh and wide choice of colours but you need a 'light' and 'dark' version of the print

I believe the t-shirts go up to OFB or xxxxxl in metric

Checked the post today, still no decals. Come on I'd have had them done by now..

Map arrived today, no idea where we're going but I keep pointing things out just to annoy the Missus. Well what she doesn't know won't hack her off.

You've got a map?

that's more than me my plan was to head south until things got dry and hot and then drive around in circles until you all get dizzy and then head north.

Broadly Chris, we head across the straights of gibraltor then follow the Atlantic Coast (the bigger blue bit on the map) south to El Jadida, then Essaouira, Then it gets more tricky for pointing at things but Sidi Ifni is the next stop then along the beach to Tan Tan. Now its east to Assa, Tata, Foum Zguid, Mhamid, Zagora, Merzouga and Erfoud.

Then on its a little vague but we'll head across the Atlas Mountains Tinerhir, Imichil, Beni Mellal before heading up for the ferry

Oh I didn't realise you purchased the japanese version of the map

In that case the route is Sapporo, Akita, Nagano, Kyoto, then east to Osaka, Nagoya, Chiba then north for the ferry via Sendai, Aomori and Hokkaido

Right some more ideas

My fave - works well as a sticker or T-shirt, could be used for other forum trips by replacing the text a sticker would be a 1 colour cut out jobbie


Then I thought it'd be nice to get more 'morocco' into the design so put the flag in the dust. Looks great on a T-shirt but the multiple colours would make it a panel sticker I think. The first version was a 100 series whereas the version now uses an 80



Finally a Dakar logo ripoff, a bit clichéd imho as everyone does this or the tombstone style. Would work well as sticker and t-shirt

The only thing that they really lack, for me Mark, is that sense of branding for the trip. I liked the idea of sand up your bum - not those words exactly but, I think I said something like Into the Crack. We've had Team Raider, etc. Hey, Sidi Ifini and Beyond..........(Toy Story?) We need a strap line I think or else it's just a sticker. We must be able to come up with something even 'Piste - Off'. End of the Road ...SandCruisers on tour. Look I'm trying ok? These are not the dunes you're looking for ....Into the dunes... All sand, no buts.
