Hi Guys
Im back, im like a bad penny always turning up to see if any of you can suss
out what the hell is up with my brakes. I know its difficult diagnosing a
problem from a computer screen, but you do.
History
A while back I had a problem with my brakes which I thought I had resolved.
(First problem) I noticed, pedal was a little jumpy when pressed.
(Second problem) The rear caliper seized while off roading and I lost the
pads, result, severe loss of pedal power and a scretching sound.
Had Toyota fit new pads, problem still there, soft brakes and the
scretching.
Had them replace something else, problem still there.
Pedal jumping was possibly due to a warped disk.
I replaced the four discs and the two rear calipers from Milners.
I replaced the pads on the four hubs with Toy genuine pads.
I put new wheel bearings inner and outer on all four hubs.
I had the brakes bled three times.
I replaced the handbrake shoes/springs and adjusted it.
Of course I had this work done for me so I presume all the bits were put on
etc.
My problem of the jumping pedal is back, not as bad as before but with all
the new bits added it should not be coming back at all.
I can also hear a scretch from the rear wheel when I start to move off and
while driving.
Its like the sound of a gate with rusty hindges when opened.
Any ideas what the hell is going on would be great.
cheers
