peter's engine woes

No-one has any views to offer then I take it?
Peter, in the kind of out of the way places I have worked in my life,
block stitching is usually the only way to effect a timely repair,
supplies of new parts being somewhat limited in all but the more
sophisticated places. It always seems to work and on that basis I
would not hesitate to try that way out before buying a replacement
block or engine. I have even heard tales of the work being done
in-situ too. But there again that may just be a tale.
