From what I have begun to understand,,,
Most of the cheap stuff gets exported, as it won't be entertained here in China.
This is generally because the rest of the world expects things to be cheap regardless.
So the Chinese simply make it cheap to suit your pocket.
To be honest, I understand that they would rather sell the rest of the world "cheap stuff" as they know it will only last half the time as a product costing a lot more, and you will come back for more.
There are always exceptions, but you need to find them.
The Chinese here tend not to buy cheap.
The world expects from China a $100 part making for $10 then fine, the Chinese will make it all to willingly, but don't expect $100 quality or longevity.
You pay your money, and cut your cloth accordingly.
Or is it, cut your cloth, and pay your money accordingly. ?
The Chinese now have the best rail network in the world, with the newest and best quality EMU's train sets,,,,,,,,,,,, but they are not cheap !
They are all Siemens design, built under licence.
They arrive on time to the minute, and they depart on time to the minute.
They go from zero to 400km/h in 2-3 minutes
They do this, day in, day out, and they are maintained to top notch.
I don't think I have read of one breaking down.
