nut removal 002.JPGSo you've rounded off a 14mm nut and cannot get heat or a wrench on it etc. Drill a hole down the wall and drive in a tapered wedge. The pic is a 14mm but I did a 1 1/2 inch AF one once down inside a long crank shaft pulley.
 
I've found Whitworth sockets work well, had to do that on a couple of nuts and bolts on the 3VZE when we were taking it apart... and the headbolt that rounded off? that came off with a set of decent drill bits!
 
Couple of squirts of Plus Gas would have had that off.

Frank, that's NEVER off your 80, surely.
 
I honestly can't remember what it came off. It's been in my black museum for years.

As you hint I keep all the nuts on the 80 polished. They are all replaced every 5 years as routine maintenance.
