Hi all...

Not been active on here or tlocuk for ages. Gonna be getting another VM engined BJ 73 when I find the right one.

Anyone in the UK got one? The last one I had was 4 cylinder... did alot of work on it. Turned out to be a decent engine. Has anyone got or worked on the 5 cylinder?

Any advantages to the 5 over the 4?

Welcome back.

You might struggle to find one in the UK as the BJ70's were never sold in the UK. You may find one in Ireland, or an import from Japan or Australia, or left hand drive from Europe.

Cheers Ben. It's coming from Spain. Not too fussed if it's LHD... the last one came from Valencia and the chassis was like new after 20 years, and apart from getting the turbo off the VM was a really easy lump to work on.

Can't imagine the 5 cylinder is much different. Will try to stick with the 5 if there's no great advantage to be had.

There is also an Italian version (friend of mine had one) but that's not the best way - they're rusting veeeeeeery fast.
