Riddle time.

  • Heres any easy one to get it started again .

As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man who had seven wives.
    Each wife had seven sacks,
    Each sack had seven cats,
    Each cat had seven kits.
    Kits, cats, sacks and wives,
How many were going to St. Ives?

Same as there's always been. One.

I guess thats an old one then , how about this -

  • Two bodies have I,
    though both joined in one.
    The more still I stand,
    the quicker I run.

What am I?

Would that be an hourglass (Eggtimer)

Chas got it with hourglass i will let someone else have a go now its far more interesting trying to work out the answers than searching for riddles to post .

Poke your fingers in my eyes and I will open wide my jaws. Linen cloth, quills, or paper, my greedy lust devours them all. What am I?

Ooh ooh, I know I know - is it a really big hungry moth?

Or maybe scissors.

Chris  nothing you couldn't afford to lose!!

To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.
