Hi Ed i've nowhere to store a trailer right now and recent weather has me decided i'm building a garage once winters passed so i guess i will wait until that's done .

My doubts about a trailer on such a long trip are more about speed restrictions in different countries and things like that .

I'm pushing to finish the spare rooms by summer 2015 so at best there will be 6 double rooms available at "Chateax Comarnic" if that's any help. There's parking for 20 odd if anyone else wants to join in! (the neighbor won't mind you parking on his field)

Well Shayne, I'm not getting any younger so I thought I should have a plan B just in case one day I could consider retiring (well doing something different and living where I want to live instead of in a birdcage flat in town).

So, we decided to build an extension on the 3 bed house and in there there's 4 smallish en-suite rooms. So I also decided to incorporate small extensions of the two spare rooms upstairs, also with slightly larger en-suite facilities (these two have baths, not just showers!).

That's it really, when it's finished I could have paying guests one day (if I'm lucky) and that will be enough to feed us if I get too tired of going to work every day!

The real plan was to invite mountain bikers from the UK and provide them with an all inclusive deal, flight, transport from the airport, bed and board, a suitable bike (I've got 7 of them now and rising!) plus transport to the mountain and guided tours of the trails... you can imagine the sort of stuff.

I don't know if it will ever come off, but I thought it was worth a go.

Ah i see so we are to be your guinea pigs then . Seriously though it sounds like a good plan , the appeal of Romania for me is the hope i will be stepping back in time escaping row upon row of rabbit hutch houses and traffic jams and all the other happy traits that make Britain great lol .

Ok for me its 1550 miles and my max is 400 miles a day

looking at the route this was a ggod stop which allow us do Hungary in one hit and stay at a campsite in Romania
