Romania 2017 - Comarnic Visit

OK, Thanks to top man @Trevor I now have a fully functioning CB. Just had a fun day tinkering on the car with him and @Rosy. And the handbrake works too!

Forgot to add a piccy. It's there as a temporary measure until a bracket is made to attach it to the bumper so it'll have to come off when it gets a bit overgrown.

We'll soon have that off Nick  No worries....

Good you've got it working though.... for now...

Hmmm! Mine's there as a permanent fixture! Hopefully!

It can be tilted though so that may help.

I have a "dome mount" sitting here just nowhere to attach as yet. But my swr was bugger all and i could still here trev 5 miles up the m1 when I was parked at home surrounded by houses so it's all good. Just I fear damage to it could occur where it is.

Ps. Chas, i've only been on the train a few times but i can't recall there being a duty free. you just sit in your car for half an hour and dose.
I think there is a duty free shop before you get on the choo choo.

Ok, as for CB mounts, Chas & Shayne will know that the tracks around my place are a bit narrow and scratchy with some 'low' branches.

Since their last visit, the main track has been opened up, so it's no longer an issue. Up on the ridge, it's wide open, so no worries there.

We can avoid the other narrow and scratchy track, or if you want to do it, I can take the hedge cutter with us to open it up a bit, and we can drop our antennae, to suit.

Ignore my jokes, we'll just take care, that's all.

Thanks Clive, I'm not overly stressy about it. Anyway, once there's an 80 sized 'hole' through, it shouldn't be too bad. It when I go out with other, smaller vehicles I end up scraping the sides. Que Serra Serra.

I've lost count now of how many reasons there are for me not to buy a fridge in this thread !

As for scratchy bits i think only the short stretch up lane from your house even remotely compares to what we all risk every time at Lincomb (and that's been ruined by a digger i'm sure you said Clive)

We bought em to use em and keeping them pretty is a lost cause we continue to fight in defiance of the inevitable is how i look at it :angry-chillpill: :D

Yep, ruined as in interesting, and that's because it was narrow, rocky, muddy and often difficult after rain.

After the widening, there's no rocks anymore, and now it's consolidated somewhat, it's not so muddy either. It's now just a track.

But there is another track .....

Not sure whether I introduced you to that one. I'll try and drive it the weekend you come. If it's very wet, it will be fun, and whatever the weather, for sure I'll need the cutters... Tee hee

Bring it on! I'll now be wearing my muds as it turns out I have the wrong nuts for the standard alloys... and i still need to fit the spare tyre onto a rim and don't really have the time to faf. Muds it is.

I just put the galaxy in the fridge to stop temptation it was a struggle, it was screaming no no eat me. There was a bit of a cafuffle and a short fight but it's in there now. I didnt get away unharmed though.
