Sad news for Sheffield.....

I guess for non Sheffielders this won't mean much. For local electronic/radio etc enthusiasts it's the end of an era. First went there when I was still at school in the early 70's for some components to build a metal detector from plans in Everyday Electronics magazine and been going there ever since. I guess they're just another victim of the cheap and easy availability of components on the internet. So many memories of visits to that place. This is so sad.

Admittedly it means nothing to me tp, but i can sympathise with the loss of something that you have grown up with and has just always been there. Its like your losing a little of your own past and fond memories.

Yep, been there, not many times as its not local. Bit of a "back in time" moment. Pity.

BTW I reckon I crossed you today in the traffic, maybe? your truck is a bit stand out.
