Finally used little Slugg for some decent towing at last.

She made easy going of my mini-digger which my Hi-lux always struggles with up hills, I can see her coming to work with me more often now.

Surprised me just how easily she coped with about 2 1/2 tonnes, accelerateing up hills in 3rd where the Hi-lux would struggle in 2nd.

In fairness there's massive power in the D4D for pulling. I regularly pull a 16ft Ifor williams flatbed with a tractor up top, and its well able to keep pace with regular traffic with ease. Friend of mine tries the same with his Trooper, but all it does is groan and plod on slowly.
 
Hello again Bob, that Irish lwb commercial might be coming sooner than I thought after towing today.
 
Go on... You know you want to!!! The long wheelbase is incredibly stable too compared to the swb
