Sticky transfer case

Hi just brought a 105 series 2005 cruiser the transfer case seems really hard to use I can get it between h2 and h4 with a bit of effort but there is no way I can then transfer it into neutral or L2 and ideas I can try at home before handing over to spend more money on it

Just keep trying. t really should loosen up with use. It' snot that unusual. Once you get it slick between H2 and H4 you might find it'll then go into N, then Low.

If it's been fiddled with at somepoint then it might be the liinkages need adjusting.
