Just been down to Exeter Geabox Centre as suggested by peeps on here and I'm
looking at a new Torque Converter. Chappy there reckoned that these weren't
uncommon failures- is that right?
Anyone know of a stronger unit that can be fitted to improve the situation?
All in he reckons around =A340-=A3500- =A3220 for parts and the rest labour which
sounds expensive- it's only dropping the box after all! Anyone done this and
how much did you spend?
I've got to get it done as its costing me a lot of mpg- and I'm about to go
on a 2000 mile drive round Portugal and Spain!
