Toyota diesel sales in EU end 2018

Sales of Diesel engined Toyota passenger cars to end in Europe by the end of 2018, fortunately Land Cruisers are classified as 'commercial' by Toyota, and will continue to be available with Diesel engines along with the HiLux.

An interesting development, but not a surprise considering the Diesel beating in the press these days, the hangers on jumping on the bandwagon, and Toyota's focus on hybrid technology.

Glad to see LC & HiLux models will continue with Diesel, hopefully until a suitable alternative is developed.

Pandering to the chattering classes. I believe electric vehicle sales are down this year

Pure electric plug-ins and diesel-electric are down. Hybrid plugin and petrol-electric are up. Overall electric is up. Toyota's models are in the growth areas.
