Hi All,

Don't know if this is the right place to post this but it does have to do with SWAMBO's 80!

We get to travel to the homeland this September to visit the kids in London, so naturally Id like to do a bit of shopping for the 80.

First some info from those that may know. Is there any way to do online shopping, have stuff delivered to a London address in my children's name and still be able to claim the VAT when I leave?
Second, who are the reliable go-to company's for the small bits that always bother?
Wouldn't mind a bit of help as I rarely get to UK.

Cheers

Steve

I think the goods would have to be purchased in your name, delivered to your relatives woud still be OK I think as long as you can get the correct form from the retailer (form VAT 407), you claim the VAT back via the form though customs at the airport/port on export, they will inspect the form and the goods, then give you an aproval stamp, more info from this gov website...

this is the instructions for form VAT407 for retailers

which small bits do you need?

Hi Pumpy,

Need a set of window rubbers, tailgate struts and a few odds and sods.

I'll get the kids to read up on the sites, being bean-counters they'll probably understand it better.

Thanks
