Truck didn’t start this morning - batteries

@karl2000 lots of listings, all over the place including their own say this..

The 11.2 is what is what I got, asking their support folks they claim it's voltage is kept low so as to not transfer charge to the battery, but to start the engine.

The 'upto 80 times' is not at 3000 amp CCA, as is implied, but at 150cca, ie a 100cc motorbike.

I think the eBay listings are obviously just wrong, maybe someone put Ah in error and everyone copied it?

The 3000 is more like peak cranking amps I think, rather than amp hour battery capacity..

As for the 11.2v, I wonder how the support folks would account for my voltmeter pic?

Just had a look at the book for my GB150 and that's 4000 amps - so maybe there's different versions too?

Book doesn't mention amp hours anywhere that I could see!

I see what you mean - the listing I found does mention 3000 amps too though. I don't think all batteries quote CCA - but on a jump starter like this we'd probably take amps/peak-amps to be the same thing?

I think the newer units are 3000 amps, and the older GB150s like mine were 4000. Because I think they've added a GB155 now with 4250 amps! Nothing stands still i suppose
