The Rover that established V8 as king of the road , i can't remember the history exactly but America decided it would never catch on and Rover said we will buy it .

Could that be why almost nobody has ever heard of a V8

Started out life as a boat engine, Buick remodelled it and Rover used it for decades.

That camper is absolutely awesome, I'd love it!

pretty impressive , V8 auto ,leather my kind of ride.I remember seeing a 4x4 short bus on a festival site in the 90s based on a Bedford RL or MK chassis .Supposedly one of a coachbuilt series built for Heathrow airport in the late 50s/early 60s ?? the one that i saw had the body of a WV camper welded to the roof as a sort of observation deck.& no i didn't imagine this despite the smoking of plenty of jazz woodbines , other old hands of that scene have confirmed it's existence.
