Volton Combi - use for split charge?

Has anyone got any experience using one of these to drive a big relay for split charging or for an auxiliary power outlet (eg for a fridge).

Ive got one lying around the house and would like to use it if its suitable, rather than buying something.

I have used similar things in camper conversions and breakdown vans that i have built and they are not that reliable to be honest. Seemed to get through alot of batteries with them even though the meter readings look good.

I think they are fine for what you want, I have one fitted in my car for the last 10 years the Fridge and charging the battery in the caravan
