It was my wifes 30th and mum 60th this year they share the same birthday which is handy, My wife wanted to go away so she looked at cottages we could all stay in and this one popped up in Babel which stated dirt track at the bottom of the drive so I was sold.

It was only £350 for a week for 6 adults 1 child and a dog not bad the cottage was set up very well lovely place I would highly recommend it to anybody. It borders on the range which I thought was fun but others just got fed up with cannon fire, machine gun's, apaches and fighters buzzing around. it wasn't constant but would have been nice to be made aware.
so me and my bro took off for a drive across the range on a legal road, to which we got followed the entire time of driving there even to the point of driving out of the range and people waiting for us on tracks to make sure we didn't go on them. I had no intention of driving where I am not allowed as I don't want to add to the ammo of shutting tracks to 4x4,s
for this reasoning no photos were taken of the MOD stuff.
did find this little river;
~
The next day we went off and did e of the dirt tracks in the forest we stayed in

~
Next day we went to USK reservoir where we were treated to a very low fly pass from a new helicopter I have not seen before.
and then headed over one of th epasses in the area

~
Then on our last night went up the mountain tracks again for a beer and a little drive. My father was in his ML and was all over the place loosing grip on the stone road which he couldn't belive that I was not having issues with, I just pointed to the Toyota badge and he shut up then.

~
Then on the way home i picked an interesting route across the black mountains but a lot of the tracks had been closed.
It was a great week and fantastic weather only rained on the way home which I could handle.
I have some dash cam footage I will try to post over then few days.
cheers stu
