what batteries are best

Hi Guys
I am thinking of replacing the 2 batteries in the cruiser and wonder what people think are the best for the price.
Does it hold true that the higher the amps the better for starting.
Also are the sealed batteries better and worth the extra.

both batteries should ideally be identical, .. i've heard that Optima batteries aren't really worth their price/hype,
yes .. the higher the amps .. the better for starting (so i've been lead to believe)

sealed batteries shouldn't leak ..so that would be a bonus
