Looking good
Are you going to cover the ply?

Now why didnt i think of doing that!
On long trips i used to remove the middlerow seats and fit a shelf unit like you have made to put mountain bikes on (in bags)

Done bit more this morning, I have carpet tiled the back in bathroom quality tiles
I got 25 tiles brand new of the bay for a tenner and just up the road , the ally cappings cost another 20 note plus the glue a fiver
So all in all less than a rubber mat , last mat I had in the Defender still smells

Very neat job that! Worth the extra to finish it off! :icon-biggrin:

I just need to do something about the exposed plywood edges not sure what any ideas anyone

I'm in the process of doing similar and I intend to use some ally angle. It would give you a sort of 'frame' for the carpeted area.

I use ally U channel on my flight cases. Works spot on and if you get the right size its a snug enough fit to not really need fixings although small countersunk screws do the trich if you feel the need.

and fitted a pair of rear LED worklights

good to see my leisure battery relay "shelf" is being re-used :)

Those LED lights are great, I have one as a reversing light as the single glow from the rear light coupled with the dark tint = nil visibility! I wouldnt mind fitting some sort of LED brake / turn lights on my rack - I will go see whats on flea bay

Steve

Not done a lot today just knocked up a CB mount on the spare wheel carrier
