Have you asked the question on the Ozzie Lcool.org forums?
Lots of Gturbos on there with Unichips.
1000Nm at all 4 wheels is not uncommon so it can be made to work.
The original Toyota heads were made in China (at least the units sold in Australia were).
Mate of mine is a diesel fitter in the mines here and has a reputation as the 'go to guy' for 1KZTE repairs in QLD. When I bought our 90 he showed me a stuffed head that he had run through a bandsaw. I was...
Not so!
Technically its illegal but I don't know of anyone who restores the system at our rego time.
I have a 90 and 100 with EGR removed and no vent holes drilled anywhere. Simply block it off forever.
I think you'll find most countries make it illegal to vent any crankcase type gases into the...
Also carefully check the output terminal lug from the alternator. Even though the cabling is strapped to the body of the alternator, these lugs are prone to cracking and eventually snapping in two giving an intermittent charge plus eventually blowing the diodes and regulator.
Same filter on both the 90 and 100 diesels. I have both trucks.
Always fill the filter first and then prime the hell out of it. Running the pump without fuel causes a ton of wear. Needs the diesel running through it to lubricate and cool the pump.
Be careful with non Toyo racks. Lot of crap chinese rubbish out there.
The Toyo racks are quite a heavy construction with very large and heavy rods out each side which are running in nylon sleeves. Corrugations bounce the heavy rods up and down and eventually the nylon sleeves/bushes wear away...

Your not likely to get it repaired, its simply not worth it.
If you want to stay original and do not do any any offroading then you can usually find these for sale on Ebay or the Aus cruiser forums www.lcool.org for give away prices.
Alternatively, have you tried a wrecker? I'll bet 95% of...
Hi Ann
Have you looked at the Ozzie site www.lcool.org ?
massive amount of local info on 200's. Its a free forum but you'll have to register to use. Someone there will know for sure.
Is there a specific reason why you want to reconnect it?
Info from Toyota suggests the heater is only there to satisfy pollution requirements, most of which occur at switch on. The heater is only turned on for a few seconds so its certainly not pre-heating the air charge for Siberian starts...

Are you aware of the lower control arm cracking issue around the torsion bar mounts?
Very common problem once lifted or upgraded Tbars fitted. Caused by the LCA hitting the bump stops and forcing the metal apart.
There are kits available to either screw or weld (best) over the affected...
I had a DVD changer in that space. Interesting how different markets have different fitments.
Those heat exchangers get very very hot...
All those right angle bends are going to significantly reduce water flow plus you need to ensure that the plastic elbows are rated to high temps or will...
The only height issue was with the inline tap (yellow handle). I had to bend its support bracket down a bit as the handle was rubbing against the bonnet sound deadening material.
Here's my Glind mounting in the engine bay.
Mounted mine on the inlet manifold as its easier to get at the heater plumbing there. To the right you can see the water pump.
The HE water i/o connections are via garden hose click lock fittings underneath the front Roo bar.
Strongly suggest that you...
I can only have a shower from my 100 once the engine has cooled down, simply too much heat. The car heater control proved quite unsatisfactory for temp control.
There are things called 'tempering valves' which will allow you to regulate the heat better. Basically its a temperature sensitive...
No part #.
I'm talking about the factory gauge your truck comes with. Dampened down to death plus when you remove the wires from it, it stays where it is, doesn't drop to zero like most meters.
Oz model 100s have two tanks fitted but just use the one gauge to check levels. We don't know...
Careful with lengthening as that is for the non water tank model where you can achieve the full swing top/bottom. Doesn't apply to us with the water tank built in.
I use the Toyo factory gauge which is wonderfully dampened so as to show almost no movement - sort of like toyo temp gauges :)
I...

LongRanger have sent me a bunch of pics explaining how the internal surge baffling works. Thought the might be of interest.
Rather than hi-jack your thread, I've posted them on the LCOOL forum here:

Are you aware of the Ozzie LCOOL landcruiser Owners forum? www.lcool.org
Probably get a quicker answer there as its an Oz product. I use Lovells so can't help I'm afraid.
Hi Steve, something else to remember with LR tanks. be very careful attempting a river crossing with empty LR tanks. They make wonderful floatation aids and the trucks back end heads off downstream. Very pretty spot you live in mate.
I also looked at this one which is only good if you always fill to the brim, which I don't. It should suit your requirements nicely.

I wouldn't worry about removing the lights when you get to Oz unless told to do so. The bar lights are very common here and the cops turn a blind eye to their use. Also several states are currently updating their legislation to recognise the concept of a strip light.
Re the airflow, thats why...
Hi Steve
A common downunder solution to removal/install of the roof top tent is to buy a cheap engine hoist and extend its hoist arm so that it can become a crane and lift the tent on/off the roof.
Couple of thoughts with your future equipment choices. Light bars are great but some countries...
The cut out wasn't a huge issue, just switched tanks and re-primed the injector pump however it is of concern when on a steep muddy dirt rack with a ton of trailer on the back...
Interesting that there is no baffling. As the bottom of the tank is basically flat that means there's nothing to...
Interesting. My tank utilises the main tank fuel gauge for both tanks and has a changeover switch to switch everything between tanks and gauge. I think the Toyo gauges are fairly padded to reduce needle jumping so I wouldn't know. Its like their temperature gauges and just slowly creeps down...
hahaha... yes a bit of a shock. Especially when in some of the remoter outback areas of Oz where fuel prices can quadruple over city prices.
Thats good. The factory idea often sees fuel from one tank pumping through into the other tank effectively making one large tank. Rather stupid idea in...
Its also one more body penetration that may (read most likely will after a few thou corrugated miles) leak during river crossings...
Its always a good laugh here when someone gets stuck in a river and the car fills up with mud and water. Simply amazing how non water proof even recent model 4bys...
Strongly suggest that you do NOT put the breather inside the car. When you fill the tank from a hose, you'll blow water out the breather before it overflows the filler. Remember also the surge effect of the water slopping about whilst on a hill etc etc
My breather wound up with the fuel...
Knew I had some pics somewhere - These are from http://www.4wdqld.com.au/driving-tips.html
Can't remember where this one came from -
Can't find another shows some clown ripping his entire towbar off the truck. Starts folding in the middle at the tongue and then just rips off.
You don't think that with a opening statement like that that you might be considered one of those :)
Agreed there is no shock load test but I never said there was. However do you honestly believe that your standard tow ball was designed with a 25mph flying jerk with a 3 or 4 ton rolling load...
Aside from arguments about the state of anyones chassis, the idea behind not using the loops or hooks provided by the factory is that they are only put there to provide a 'chain down' point for shipping purposes. As such its mainly a static load with the car being winched down to the boat deck...
^ +1
Only an idiot would use a standard tow ball for a snatch! They are not rated for a shock loading.
The instantaneous load from a snatch is a hell of a lot more than that from towing your trailer. Lots of miserly idiots come to grief with this down here.
If you insist then make sure your...
