Good lad. I've had major issues with a fair few trucks. It's nice when they're rolling again and putting a grin on ones face

Dont forget to blip the revs:thumbup:! I'm nearly tempted to do a rebuild just for the thrill of it!

It weren't that thrilling! It weren't too hard either just a lot of measuring I doubt many of these engines need rebuilds mine came with no service history and the original bottom end bearings looked brand new with 170,000 miles on the clock

Seems a little more pressure than mine TBH but presumably this should improve once bedded in. I held my finger over for a count of ten (one, thousand, two, thousand…) and then released.

Sounds good though. Did you use just a basic mineral oil for the first fill to allow it to wear?

I just used cheapo oil and filter from Milner off road it was still semi synthetic when I do the next change I will use a Toyota filter and some decent oil

Should be basic mineral really Kev. Semi synth is preventing wear.

I'm sure it will be ok I'm not changing it again  I'm more worried about just driving too and from work and bearly getting up to temperature

be careful about mixing minerals and semi synthetics. it can cause a reaction harmful to the engine seals so make sure and use a good engine flush if alternating. Its a tough call but I would avoid using mineral if you intend to run synthetic. I always use two tins of wynns engine flush every time I change the oil anyhow.

I don't think Kev will be using anything wynns again. It might flush his new pistons out.

your not wrong I won't be using wynns again unless they send me a load of free stuff

Like a free new engine.

Well done mate, top job.

If vids won't upload using the "tree" photo icon (even though they should) simply register with Youtube and upload them, then copy the URL to the forum using the "link" icon on here, works every time.

Worked fine for me Chas.

Only one problem, that's either not your engine,
or,
you've washed it. I'm sure it wasn't that clean in there last time I saw it

It's still there mate, just checked again.

After uploading is complete, it takes quite a while before its visible, keeps saying "processing".

Try logging on to YouTube, going to "my videos" and then click that one and try to edit it. Just add something the the description box for example, save the change, then have a look again the next day.

Worth a try, maybe.

After another look, it's me that's all mixed up, I think

When I look at my YouTube "history" the vid I watched was posted by "PhilS"
