Auto box playing up.

Experiencing a problem when kick down engages from 3rd to 2nd, it over revs and not engaging or accelerating and have to back off the throttle to allow the gearbox to catch up and engage! Never did that before... Same like wise under acceleration going from 2nd to 3rd... Over revs before engaging gears!! Same again if I shift the lever manually if I depress a bit of throttle.
what can it be!? Otherwise under normal driving seems fine.

Check the oil level in the gearbox buddy, engine up to temp and running and in park, if its low it could cause odd gearchanges.

When you check the oil level do it properly like Mick said and not with the engine off. Also check the TPS cable that goes from the injection pump to the gearbox, if that snaps the box will do a soft change even if you have your foot down - the cable controls the line pressure to the clutch packs.

Just checked oil level and is just above the low mark when hot. will get the oil changed and brought back up to hot level too before the next step. Cable seems in good condition. Just a slight slack. Keep u posted thanks guys.

Just had gearbox rebuilt.. costed 2300!! At least all problems are solved. !
