Hi, Has anyone renewed a engine oil sump on a 3.0D4d. My one has started leaking oil and it would appear the front axle has to be dropped to gain access. Also does anyone know of a good supplier? I would imagine a genuine Toyota sump will be expensive.

i would think only Toyota can supply this

and looking on Toyodiy it could be in region of £300 for the top pan assembly
but the lower part, is about 93 euros, so should be £70 or less

which part has the leak? the bigger upper part of the sump or the smaller lower part?

give Simon Holton our freindly parts manager at Toyota Aylesbury and email
and he should give you a discounted price

What's happened that's causing the leak? Is it not possible to drop the sump, clean it up and then reassemble with liquid gasket maker?

Good opportunity to clean the oil pick up at the same time!

Is it leaking oil around the sump seal?

If so all you'll need to do is get it out, clean the seal out and re-seal it again. :?:

...and if it's not leaking on the seal but the sump itself, it's metal. Metal can be mended.
