Welcome to the forum! Which VM engine does it have, the 4 or 5 cylinder?

I'm in the north of Spain and I'm slowly working on my own BJ73 2.5td. I'm not a mechanic but I've been learning as much as I can about the vehicle.

Hi Mike! Thanks for the message. Wow! What a coincidence, I'm also living in the north! Well, mine has 4cyl. I'm looking for service manual to know valve clearance. Started tappet knocking sound. I'm also not pro mechanic but have experience a bit.

Hi Taka,
I'll take a look around and see if I've got anything for the 4 cylinder. I've been collecting everything I can find for both VM engines (I've got the 5 cylinder).
The VM4 was in other vehicles like the European diesel Land Rover.
I'm currently visiting family in the States so I'll get back to you with some documents in a little bit.
BTW I'm in Asturias, whereabouts are you?

Hi Mike,
I’ve found the manual for vm4&5. In the end, I took the car to taller. I think it has a problem with cylinder head with the valves.
