Your truck might be new enough to have ODB, I think it came in 2004 for diesels in Europe, 2001 for petrols. 1996 was for the US.

I had Mr T put his obdii reader on my 04 lc. Nudda. His expensive workshop one was fine, plain obdii could not see the truck. Booo

The ScanGuage II people told me categorically that my 2005 LC5 was not OBD2 compliant - the plug is but not the data stream. Pity - looks nice
