Kzj70 not starting

My kzj70 has been sitting for close to a year and I tried starting her the other day and it's a no go, I've connected some charged batteries but the wire in the pic (the moody one with the crimped connectors lol) is sparking like crazy and gets really hot when connected, any idea what the problem is? Ive disconnected the starter and glow plug relay, taken starter motor out and it's still sparking like a mofo

All sorted... believe it or not the battery I picked up somehow has reverse polarity Not a frigging clue how that happened but a different battery and she fires straight up, sat for over a year and took maybe 4-5 cranks to start
