Just repaired an easy fix for my constantly leaking sunroof. I pealed the headliner back above the rear doors to reveal the rear drains. Found one was unconnected! 18 years of leaks and I had never checked them. But, if they need to be cleaned, they are easy enough to unclip and slide off the back of the sunroof cassette. Then you can shove something down them to the rear wheel arches to clean them out. I use strimmer cable, it’s nylon so doesn’t scratch and flexible enough.

I've done this a couple of times in the past. The drains eventually get blocked with crap that gets past the dust seal round the glass roof.
The drains on mine were still connected but blocked, causing the roof tray to overflow onto the headlining.
I used a cable puller designed for threading wires through conduit to loosen the blockage. I then made a small adaptor and connected the garden hosepipe to the drain which flushed out a load more shite. The front drains became blocked recently so used the hosepipe again but they much easier to get to.
Don't forget the sill drains too!

Wonderful, mine have have been leaking through the headlining onto my front seats, my next job. Where do I find the the ones in the sills Towpack?

Here's a pic, post #15.
The sunroof drains into the sills and there are 2 or 3 of these drainage slots each side, the one in the pic is the nearside front. A cable tie is ideal to poke them clear. If the sills fill up, which they will if all slots are blocked, they will overflow into the footwells as happened with mine as I park facing downhill. The sills can hold a LOT of water!:laughing-rolling:

Thanks so much for this post.

I've had a leak in the roof of my 100 for ages. I first noticed after I'd removed the original roof bars and fitted a roof rack and assumed that was the problem..
