I love good sound systems so please take some photos of the speakers and hifi components if you get a chance.

Have fun in Australia.

It sounds awesome!

We turn it up so loud that the pictures on the walls started shaking and the floor vibrates with the bass. :icon-twisted:

We listen to House, Electro, Trance and Drum n Bass and it sounds amazing! :icon-biggrin:

I did wonder if that was the case when you put your pics up when you were there!

I worked for the company who are ultimately behind it up on the Central Coast in NSW; when they were looking at venues they did find some slightly batsh!t mad landowners!

Thanks Stu. :icon-smile:

My boss wants $200 for the main bottom gear. If I import the other new gear (the one you linked to above) that another $150+.

So it might be better and possibly cheaper to upgrade and at the same time change the ratio so the winch is even quicker.

I'm actually thinking of starting to import and sell Warn winch parts over here. I could undercut everyone on ebay and all the 4wd places and still make a very healthy profit on winch motors, spare parts and service kits. :icon-cool:

The new 6hp winch motor should be here next week and I'm about to place an order for a complete bottom end service kit, and top end/brake service kit.

I'm thinking while I've got it on the bench in pieces I may aswell replace everything so its like new and then I wont have to touch it for 10+ years hopefully.

The guy on the last trip who snapped his winch rope on the Barkley River Jeep Track and then tied the snapped cable to his bull bar and carried on winching, was telling me that hes had his Warn 8274 for 20+ years and it was second hand when he got it. In all that time hes serviced it once and its just kept going, and he drives a lot of hard stuff and regularly does deep river crossings, hes even drowned his truck a few times. :icon-twisted:

So I've no doubt these are the best winches on the market (apart from the custom giggplein/red winches) as they will last a life time, and with the amount of power and speed they've got. Their awesome!

i was always concerned with mine. i then took it apart lots of new bits then i was happy to take the piss out of it
wd had my loaded 90 hanging on it on several times in its life. i do think they are a little to fast for newbies though. dont by any means think that is aimed at you!!. amazing winches. i am putting a huskey on the front of my 80 complete end of the scale. very slow but tough and reliable i hope.

A customer came in yesterday with a Red hydraulic winch thats hes imported from the UK. I've got to make a custom bar to fit it to his Suzuki and get it all fitted and working.

I will try and get some pics of the winch today. It looks really nice but its bloody huge! :icon-biggrin:

We've got all the electrics, plumbing and insulating done in the study and its now ready for the plasterers who are coming tomorrow.

I need to do 5 and a half hours work on Michaels house each week to cover the rent, wifi and cleaner. :icon-biggrin:

But I went a while without really doing any work on his house so I'm now almost back in credit! Which is good as I will be away all next week enjoying myself.

At work this morning I finished my first batch of 50 battery trays, so their now ready for electroplating.

Just read the latest blog of my Suzuki mate, Dave.

He and the guys I used to lane with have just had an eventful trip to the Lake District.

Unfortunately one of the guys did what I did almost a year ago. But he rolled twice and had his young daughter in the car.

Luckily their both OK. :icon-biggrin:

Does serve as a reminder of the dangers we face when driving and how a split second of complacency or not concentrating can end in disaster!

Highspeed, twin motor winches everywhere!!! That's one hell of a winch for the 70 series ute.

Shame about your friends roll, it's always worring when the tail end vehicle disappears. Glad they were both ok, and had a good group to help them out of a nasty situation. I wonder if it'll be reshelled......for the second time!

Enjoy your trips.

   Blimey m8!!! Is that Shogun Phil that was with us the day that you rolled LJ?

Jeez i would hate to have to send a mate home in that state , we all know its a risk we take but can you imagine in the cold light of dawn looking at a mangled mess that was the truck sitting on the drive . I sincerely hope he finds a donor vehicle and gets rolling again without to many headaches .
